December 2025

Zebra Technologies

Amazon

Amazon is cutting 84 jobs in Seattle and Bellevue in its latest round of layoffs. The reductions affect roles across engineering, recruiting, software development, and product management. The layoffs are scheduled for February 2 through February 23, 2026, and affected employees will receive at least 90 days of pay, benefits, and job transition assistance.

Tenstorrent

Payoneer

Payoneer will let go of about 30 employees in Israel and a similar number of staff overseas, bringing the total reduction to roughly 6% of its global workforce.

VSCO

VSCO laid off 24 employees as part of a restructuring to refocus on tools for professional photographers. CEO Eric Wittman stated that consumer demand fell short and recent expansion efforts hadn’t delivered as hoped.

Mobileye

Mobileye is reportedly cutting 200 employees, about 4% of its global workforce, with most cuts affecting its local teams in Israel.

Inside Inbound Health

Inside Inbound Health shut down on December 1. The hospital-at-home startup had raised over $50 million.

November 2025

Intel

Intel continues its goal of cutting a significant amount of its workforce this year, with 59 Bay Area jobs eliminated effective November 30.

HP

HP is set to cut 4,000 to 6,000 jobs worldwide by 2028 as it looks to streamline operations and leverage AI.

Apple

Apple is cutting several sales positions as it moves to streamline how it sells devices and services to businesses and government agencies.

Monarch Tractor

Monarch Tractor informed employees it may lay off over 100 workers or even shut down.

Playtika

Playtika plans to lay off about 20% of its workforce, 700 to 800 employees, next month, marking its fifth round of cuts since 2022.

Pipe

Pipe has laid off about 200 employees, roughly half its workforce, as part of its push toward profitability.

Synopsys

Synopsys plans to cut roughly 10% of its workforce and close several sites due to recent acquisitions.

Conclusion

The ongoing trend of layoffs across the tech industry in 2025 highlights the intersection of economic pressures and the shift toward automation and AI. As companies restructure and streamline their operations, the human cost remains a significant concern in the evolving landscape of technology.
